Why is that some people just can not take the hint that a relationship is over and leave it at that? Why must a person steadily say hurtful things to the other person? I know this is a weird topid but unfortunately this is me going through this situation. I personally could say mean things back but im not Im passed that phase where hurtful things will just get you no where. Sorry to ask you all this but I wanted some opinions from people who do not really know me or the guy I was with.

I think it could be a couple of reasons, one, they want you to hurt they way they are or two, it is just a way to keep you engaged in communication with them until you change your mind or they wear you down and give them their way. If he is a controlling type person you would be better off cutting off all communication. Just be careful, some people just cannot handle rejection at all.

Some people are just control freaks. When you leave them and they can't control your actions anymore they try to manipulate you in other ways. If you continue to allow this jerk to verbally abuse you, you are allowing him to control not only your time but your emotions. I agree with B2R. The best thing to do is make communication with you very difficult or impossible. People like this are kind of like little kids. If they don't get a reaction they will stop the behavior. If he still doesn't stop after you have made it very clear you aren't interested in further communication call the law on his butt.

Keep having SEX doesn't help.

Well Carwash sex has been out of the picture for a long time..LOL...But it has been two days and I have not heard a word from him and things are starting to get easy. I was just hurt by some of the words he said especially about me not being a good mother because I am to selfish, but yet I was pregnant with his child only two months ago. Oh well, time to move on a concentrate on myself. Plenty of other men out there who will treat me right as for right now, it will be all about me and finding myself again!! Thanks for all the advice!!
