You're welcome BYS.
The biggest mistake made these days is that Christians aren't persecuted.
Sadly, because Christians don't get out their guns or behead 'blasphemers', they are considered easy meat. And the public never gets to hear the truth.

I took this quote from the "gun control" thread. It says "religious groups". That could mean churches or church gatherings. As I said before, it all depends on the judges. They can make it mean what ever they want.
***************************************************
Quote:
For those who continue to insist, "Hey, that stuff could never happen here," permit me to annoy you with two more facts. "Operation Garden Plot" and "Department of State Publication 7277."
I had almost forgotten about Garden Plot until I got halfway through this column. It is an old Operations Plan relating to Civil Disturbance. Here are some selected quotes:
"If any civil disturbance by a resistance group, religious organization, or other persons considered to be non-conformist takes place, under Appendix 3 to Annex B of Plan 55-2 hereby gives all Federal forces total power over the situation if local and state authorities cannot put down said dissenters."
"Annex A, section B of Operation Garden Plot defines tax protesters, militia groups, religious cults, and general anti-government dissenters as Disruptive Elements. This calls for the deadly force to be used against any extremist or dissident perpetrating any and all forms of civil disorder."
***************************************************
All the have to do is say we are a religious cult or anti-government dissenters and they can even use deadly force against us.

".....Censoring the Christian model and denigrating biblical values has resulted in a generation where every day in the United States:
· 437 children are arrested for drinking or drunk driving
· 211 children are arrested for drug abuse
· 1,629 children are in adult jails
· 30 children are wounded by guns
· 10 children are killed by guns
· 135,000 children bring a gun to school
This is a claim, not a fact. There could be, and probably are, many reasons for the degradation of society today.

Mac:
So you are saying that because of the few things listed on the site you posted, that Christians are heavily persecuted in this country? Really? When I watch television, I see Christianity portrayed positively more than negatively. Also, you think that handing out atheist "tracts" to students is Christian persecution? Gideons hand out bibles all the time.. what is that, atheist persecution? lol. Christians are pampered in this country, and especially for the last 8 years. A few, unrelated incidents, collected by worthynew.com does not show Christian persecution. Also, I said initially that Christianity is probably the LEAST persecuted segment of the population. This website does nothing to contradict that.
BYS:
If any civil disturbance by a resistance group, religious organization
The key here is civil disturbance. Anytime there is civil disturbance by any group, the authorities have authority to take action. This is not a sign of Christian persecution, also because it states "religious organization," not Christian organization.
"Annex A, section B of Operation Garden Plot defines tax protesters, militia groups, religious cults, and general anti-government dissenters as Disruptive Elements. This calls for the deadly force to be used against any extremist or dissident perpetrating any and all forms of civil disorder."
This talks about religious cults. Are you saying that Christianity is a religious cult? I mean, I agree, but I hardly think that the U.S. government views Christianity as a religious cult.
Like I said initially, you both believe that these are signs of Christian persecution because your religion tells you to expect persecution. It's like finding a devil behind every bush. When Christians start getting harmed because of the practice of their faith, instead of harming others because of their faith, I'll listen to those arguments. Until then, the only thing you can argue is intolerance, and well.. there is a lot that Christianity promotes that I don't think should be tolerated.

Am I to assume then that you think that biblical guidelines can contribute to this kind of behaviour? The insidious removal of christianity and the good it does as a controlling influence on the morality and expectations of our society is a parallel indicator with the continuing decline in moral standards today.
Please tell, why were there no school shootings here before the 1960's ?
The sixties was the defining era of the liberal and rebel movement.
