If my wife and I move to Baytown we will be looking to become active in the community. I am into more literary and avation orented pursuits, my wife is more into artistic endevors. What types of programes are there that might pique our intrests? We are just begining to get active in the community cleanup programe in our community and would probably continue that in the next community in which we live. I was just currious as to what else there was out there.
Thanks, I'll have to check these out this evening. I shouldn't even be on now during work. I do like to know as much as possible about a community before I make a move.

Good Afternoon Mr. Lowry,
I am not sure of what is available in the community as far as aviation goes but I will be certain to keep my ears perked for that information. All I know as far as aviation goes here is that one or two of the Nation's best stunt pilots are out of the La Porte Municipal Airport, which is a community right over the bridge from us. Ellington field is also within close quarters of Baytown and it is nice to watch fighter jets flying in and out of the base daily.
We do not have a literary program here within the Parks & Recreation Department but i am sure that the Sterling Municipal Library would be able to give you all the information on their activities as well as local reading groups. They can be reached at (281) 427-7331
As for your wife, the Art League of Baytown has been approved to move into a building within a years time. They currently utilize the Community Center here in Baytown on Fridays starting around 10AM and they are usually here until around 2. They do have big things planned for this new building and they would love to have your wife come to meet them and possibly join their group.
If you have any other questions about the community please feel free to call our offices at (281) 420-6598 or e-mail me at donovan.o'connor@baytown.org.

Thank you,
Donovan O'Connor
