Want some Hooter's buffalo wings but don't feel like driving to Hooter's? Why not make them yourself at home? The secret is in the sauce, and Hooter's uses Frank's Red Hot Sauce. You can pick it up at Walgreens, Kroger, or most any other grocery store.
Hooter's Buffalo Wings
Rinse wings. Put a cup or two of flour into a Ziplock bag. Drop plain, unbattered wings into Ziplock bag and shake well. You won't get a ton of flour stuck to them, but it's not neccessary. You basically want them thoroughly dusted. Fry wings in a large skillet with some oil. While the wings are cooking, fill a coffee cup or small, deep bowl about 3/4 full of Frank's Red Hot Sauce, then add 1 Tbsp butter. Microwave sauce/butter mix until warm and the butter is melted, then stir. When the wings are ready, remove them one by one with tongs and dip them all the way into the sauce/butter mix. Drip dry and then set them onto a plate. Let them cool a bit and you're done! These taste just like Hooter's "Three Mile Island" wings. Serve with celery and ranch/blue cheese dressing and a Texan's football game. Yum!
