Do you plan to stick around the house with this one or do you plan on heading to higher ground?

Where you going?
We have a back up generator to keep the electricity going and got our digital converter boxes with antenna for watching TV. Never flooded at my house near the bay and my house survived 54 years of storms. I hope the gas holds out. I have 55 gallons that should last three days, then off to siphon the vehicles if not.

If you don't have plans to leave yet, don't be stupid and leave Sunday, that's to late if your going to leave.
I have a can of beanie-wienies and 55gal of BEER...I'm stayin'

Well, I see this was posted on Saturday. This is Sunday night and it looks like Gustav isn't coming directly at us, so we plan to stay here. If it had come closer, we wouldn't hesitate to leave if needed to. Our house isn't prone to flooding, so we dont feel like staying is tood big a risk at this time. If evacuation was advised, we would do it.
Where would be go? We have not idea! Just away and hope for the best.
BTW, why isn't this forum more read and posted to, like the previous Baytown Sun forum was???? I really miss all the interesting posts there and that we could be responses so quickly. Sad to see so few posts here currently.

Gustav Prediction

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm living on the coast as most of you will give you my prediction of landfall. Mickey Eastman said this had the same track of the 1900 storm. Well not for off. I have been infatuated with these type storms have got my best beat of land fall.

Between Cameron LA and Port Arthur is my prediction, Lake Calc will get pounded pretty good and many petrochemical plants along the coast. I hope everybody got out on time. I love meteorology and will have to say this is the strike zone. We here in Galveston will get a pretty good wind and tide. I see the storm stag over east Texas as it could go north or south.

Hopefully north and die, but maybe a long spin over Rita areas.

Batting 3 for 3.
This was my thread on another fishing forum last night. I got bashed pretty good this early AM, but look at it now. I see this storm coming close to Galveston before the days over. Still over water is dangerous.

I could be wrong though. When the all clear sounds all you LA people can go back home please. We can't afford another mistake and support you handout specialist.
