I really like seafood, but the only place I really go is Red Lobster, and we all know that can get pretty pricy. Someone had mentioned to me to try Baytown Seafood. I've never been there and wanted to see what you guys thought about it. Let me know...seafood sounds good right now!
Baytown Seafood is really good. The shrimp are plump and spicy there and everything tastes great. The prices aren't bad and it's got a kind of cozy atmosphere. I probably wouldn't say it's as good as Red Lobster, but it's close. If you're tired of Red Lobster or just want a change, I'd recommend it.
Red Lobster never tastes fresh to me. My husband calls it Dead Blobster. We only go there when someone else in the family wants to. Baytown Seafood is way better any day...and the prices are very reasonable too.

What do you get there that doesn't taste fresh? I mainly stick to the fried seafood platter and shrimp. So I can't say much about the fish or lobster.

Most anything I get (other than the biscuits) doesn't taste fresh. For example, last time we were there I ordered the grilled catfish. They tasted extremely fishy and had a really strong smell. I barely ate any of it. I was disappointed and we haven't been back since.

My husband got the lobster pizza for an appetizer and he said it tasted rubbery and way too salty.
My husband and son really like Baytown Seafood. I'm not a big seafood person and it's just a bit spicy for my tastes. But I have to agree with Common. I usually get the seafood pasta at Red Lobster and it has always tasted like it was heated in a microwave. But they make a killer Pina Colada! Wink
