I know everyone has seen all of the gimmicky online "universities" advertised here and there, but this is one that many probably don't know about.

The University of London, one of the oldest Universities to date, has an external program that anyone can apply and participate in. It is accredited worldwide and they have programs for bachelor and master's degrees. I am about to start the bachelor's of Philosophy program with them. It is all legit, it's self-paced without a classroom setting and at the end of it all, you only spend like $2000-$3000, depending on your program. You apply and then study on your own time. Then in either March or May, you visit your local testing facility to participate in the course exam. So, it's not exactly like traditional classroom study, but if you're in to self-study, then it is a cheap, accredited way to earn a degree from a reputable university.
