Without Clod and Davo, it wouldn't have happened either. You can't blame George because other posters did not have the self control to act like adults and argue their points rationally, and instead resort to calling others pot-smokers, demons, etc.
Look around your board, Dorian. It's pretty much dead. Even though there was some arguing in the religious forum, at least there was some life there. The rest of the board barely gets a few replies a day, in mind numbing threads like "Whats for lunch?". This is the type of board you want, and it will be the type of board you will get. Perhaps you should make a post in each forum on what people are and aren't allowed to talk about for fear of upsetting a few that only want to read pollyanna type everybody-agrees-with-everybody posts. For example, in the politics forum - what is the consensus on the presidential election? I want to make sure I post the correct responses so that I don't 'force' someone like davo and clod to become rude and start name-calling again. How about global warming? What is the proper response in a topic like global warming? So many eggshells to walk around...
You should know that since I started this site, other than a few members that registered for the sole purpose of spamming all of our forums with junk posts, G is the first member I have ever banned.
And I'm sure he won't be the last...
Bob, why don't you just get over it and move on? If you can't see, or understand why Dorian did what he did, then you must not be as intelligent as your posts pretend to be. And coming back with rude remarks about his website, and about how "dead" it is without your boyfriend G here, only shows how juvenile you really are. I post some of those "mind numbing" posts like what's for lunch. You know why? Because it's a way to make people come together. It's taking a break from all the ugly news, or complaining threads or antagonistic posts that you and your boyfriend like to post to get everyone upset. It's a way to bring the community together, not rip it apart like you're so used to. I can only imagine you must have very few friends since you can't grasp this concept.
