I never really ate at Casa Ole, I always went to El Toro. Then I started going to Casa Ole from time to time and I am now a big fan. I ordered a plate of nachos at Casa Ole and they brought me this plate piled with nachos. It was almost too much food. The next time I went to El Toro I ordered nachos and they brought a plate of 10 (count them, 10) nachos neatly set on the plate. If you order a HALF-order of nachos at Casa Ole you get more than a full order at El Toro. I think Casa Ole has better food and bigger portions. I've told my parents they should switch, but they are die hard El Toro fans. Anybody else got an opinon?
I love the Queso & Green sauce @ Casa ole, but the Enchiladas at EL Toro, they have the best!
Nobody makes chicken enchiladas like El Toro on Bayway. I don't even like them at either of the other El Toros. El Toro has the best honey mustard salad dressing too. It's sweet and just a little spicy. Now for chips and salsa, Tortuga can't be beat. Mmmm....I'm getting hungry. I haven't had mexican food in almost 2 weeks! I'm about to start having withdrawals!
there is a place in pasadena called mamacitas, omg it is so good. i could literally drink their salsa and their chips are great. oh and their food is oh so good. the only thing i had there that i didn't like was their chili reanos (sp?). i really like their space shuttle burrito with the shredded chicken. man now i am starving and having a craving for mamacitas.
Yikes! From the poll it looks like I may be in the minority here. Hmmm... maybe I should give El Toro another chance...
I'm a Casa Ole fan myself. I don't care for El Toro's much. But sounds like I need to try Mamacitas!
