Fit Kids
Tired of having the kids lounging around complaining about how they have nothing to do? Maybe you just want to see your kid(s) being more active? Introduce them into a world of fitness with this fun course. They will build character while walking for fitness and doing other basic exercises and games. Everyone will be taught the importance of staying in shape and eating healthy all while having fun playing games and exercising. Prizes will be given out for completion of milestones.
Fee: $5 per person per month
$15 per family per month
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-7PM
Ages: 3 & up
Required: Weather appropriate clothing and the drink of your choice

Kuk Sool Won
Do you work long or late hours? Are you worried about the kids walking to and from school or being home alone? Learn Kuk Sool Won the National Martial Arts! The City of Baytown has teamed up with Kuk Sool Won of Baytown to bring you the opportunity to learn this all around martial arts fighting style. Kuk Sool Won is a systematic study of all of the traditional fighting arts, which together comprise the martial arts history of Korea. As such, Kuk Sool Won is extremely well organized and seeks to integrate and explore all aspects of the traditional Korean martial arts.
When: Mondays & Wednesdays
Time: 7:15 – 8:15 PM
Where: Baytown Community Center
Cost: $30 individual/month
$70 Family/month
(immediate family only)
Attire: A Black Kuk Sool Won uniform is required and may be purchased during class

Youth Advisory Council
Do you want to be involved in your community? Need another extra curricular activity for those college applications? Become part of Baytown’s Youth Advisory Council and learn how to make a difference in your community. You will work throughout the year planning and coordinating on events within the City of Baytown. Your voice will also be influential to City Council as they find out what the needs of the youth population of Baytown wants. You also get to end the year with a bang at the end of year youth summit in Kerrville. Applications will be accepted starting on September 1st. for any questions or extra information call Shontele Williams or Michael Flinn at (281) 420-6597

Baytown Planeteers
Be a part of the solution while learning to be less of the problem! The Baytown Planeteers is an eco-friendly group that helps keep Baytown beautiful. We will learn about our local eco-system and the dangers of pollution at the Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Center. The group will do community projects around Baytown from cleaning up trails and parks to Storm Drain marking and education. On the second Saturday of each month we will have a clean up followed by a cook out to enjoy the Parks & Facilities around the city.
Fee: $10 per month
When: 2nd & 3rd Saturday’s
Begins: Saturday, September 13th
Ages: All Ages
Where: Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Center & Local Parks

Fun Time Fridayz
On the last Friday of every month bring your Junior High School children to the Baytown Community Center (2407 Market Street) for a safe, fun filled evening. DJ Mike provides a wide variety of today’s popular music. There is a concession with drinks, pop corn, nachos and light up toys. Admission is $10 at the door. Parents are required to sign their children in and out of the event. It begins at 6PM and lasts until 10PM. For more information call Baytown Parks and Recreation @ 281-420-6598
