This is so rediculous. I mean, was it a "nice" thing to do? No. But to say that the desecration of the Quran requires the "severest of punishments", give me a break. I guess they want us to hang the guy. You don't see Christians "severely punishing" people who abuse the Christian Bible. This is from the story: "Another military official kissed a Quran and presented it as "a humble gift" to the tribal leaders." What is he doing "kissing" the book? Is he Muslim? If the shoe were on the other foot, I wonder if a Muslim would kiss a Christian bible and hand it over as a gift? If you ask me, the Quran isn't the only thing we're kissing.
